Can you clarify, your spouse, what is their UK immigration status? Are they British? EEA? If not, what sort of visa do they have?

When did the two of you get married? And your current visa, when does that expire?

Well that is extremely relevant. You can apply in the UK for your 2-year spouse visa ..... use form FLR(M) .... and do ensure that the application is made before the expiry of your current visa.

Shame you did not switch to your spouse visa shortly after the marriage last year. You have clearly delayed your move to ILR, and therefore British Citizenship (if it is your intention to apply for that).
