I think it depends on who deals with your particular email. There must be a few people allocated for the task.

Dear Navalaviator and Newbie121,

We submitted our settlement visa on Monday 26th July and I notice that out status still reads 'Application Forwarded to Islamabad OC on'.

Will be happier when I see this status change to 'Under process at BHC'

Newbie121 may I ask when did your status change to under process?

You cant appeal from Pakistan.Everything is done from here in the UK by the sponsor. The applicant does not play any part after they have been refused, everything is done by your sponsor

I was wondering is it alright for my wife to come to UK as a visitor for like 3 months whilst I re-start paperwork for her upon getting employment?

Isn't that a better approach rather than having to wait?

Or is it not recommended for the spouse to come on visit visa then end up applying for spouse visa shortly thereafter????

P.S. Above spreadsheet no longer being monitored and edited by myself.

does anyone have experience of changing jobs during the visa process? the letter with my husbands application (which i am sending v.shortly inshallah) has a letter from my current employers with their contact details.

however, i have an interview this week for another job. if i was to start there (which would not be for another month because of my notice period) what would happen if the eco rang my current employers who would then say she is no longer here!

i would really like some advice/guidance on this as i really want to take this new job but obv not if it will be detrimental to the hubby getting a visa...

I would not recommend that.If she is refused visit visa then she can have problems in getting spouse visa.

Better apply for spouse visa with good documents which is a right category for you.

Thanks Ali for the reply.

My dad also said NO to applying for visitor visa as it could bring difficulties with Spouse Visa in future.

Just wanted to make sure.

Damn the UKBA :p

The concept of having her here for 6 months on visit visa whilst I work on gathering fresh documents sounds too good! I suppose in this case too good to be true :(.

I'll stick to the spouse visa route then.

i know tell me about it!!!... thats why im thinking on the lines that they have rejected it and they dont wish to break the news through an email....allah swt knows best..
Salam

I take it you've still not had an update!!! waiting is getting hard now given its bin so long..i'll do dua for you. pls dont think negatively about their reply...u know you get a variety of people monitoring the ukhub inbox...some people just wont give the decision and whats some1 does that, its says a precedent that others may not want to break...i would say the time its taking is a good sign that its in the correct pile of passports (to be processed with visas).

keep doing dua. agree its getting v.tough now.
