sorry I have posted this into wrong category.so I'm posting it here again.please advice me

I got my student visa last february and now I'm studing in UK.my visa get expired on next Aprail 2006.I'm planning to do a MBA here in the same uni and will try to extend my visa after I finish the BSc degree.is it a tricky task.and when I'm extending the visa can I include my wife as my dependant at the time of applying the extension.or should my wife has to apply for a dependant visa from the local British High COmmission.

I think the answer is :-
  • If your wife is already in the UK on a dependent visa then when you apply for your extension you should include her on the form, so that you both get extensions at the same time.
  • If you are here in the UK and your wife is "back home" then you should not include her on the form when you make your in-UK application. Instead, after you have got your extension, she should apply for her dependent visa from, as you say, the local British High Commission.
I think this is clearly the case because if your wife is "back home" well so is her passport, so how would a new sticker be put into her passport?[/list]

Thank you John.but I can ask her to send me her passport and provide it together with mine when I'm applying for extension.is that sound silly
