Finally we have received the visa today for my son. Application Date 12/05/2010. Visa date 30/05/2010. Delivery date 09/08/2010. I am quit hopeful now that all the april n may application waiting will get the visa. Printing delays can only happen for approved applications.

Congrats. Things has started to move on. Lets see when is our turn. Is there any time limit on travelling after the visa is stamped, if yes, what is that and when would the number of days start from?

. I personally don't think there is any time line but if you are principal applicant than its better to travel within 30 days. There are many topics in this forum discussing the same thing. Just search. The days should start from the visa date. (Logical)

Hi
I submitted letter from my employer and bank statements to prove my earnings. I also showed bank statement for maintenance funds. I lost my degree therefore i sent my duplicate degree to HEC for verification and i sent HEC Attested degree for both my education and IELTS requirements.

i think cases with HEC attested degrees do not undergo verification thus they are processed quicker. whats your opinion?

Okis it me not looking at my screen properly or its ukba people trying to hide their incompetence by being creatuve. There is something mentioned just after the customer service standards which says that the clock starts ticking when biometrics are taken and stops when "decision is made". It means that they have decided my application well within time as it was sent back too pk on 17/05 and my application was made on 21/04.

I got this reply on 15-Jul-2010 for my wife Tier 1 Dependant Visa but have not yet received any news from the Gerry's. Does someone know how much it will take to get the passport once we get this email (shown below)?

Per their email it will take a short amount of time, but does someone know how much short amount they are reffering too?

Please let me know.
Thanks.
Slaam

Dear Mr. *****,

Thank you for your email of 05/07/10 enquiring about the progress of your visa application. I can confirm that the application has been processed but due to the high number of visa applications we have recently handled there is currently a queue of decisions awaiting printing. You will therefore have to wait a short amount of time to collect your decision. Please accept our apologies for this delay.

Please do not contact the Visa Application Centre (Gerry's) directly as they will be in touch with you as soon as they receive your paperwork. You can track the whereabouts of your documents at www.ukvacpk.com .

Yours sincerely,

Visa Enquiry Desk

In response to my emails complaining about the delays sent to various email addresses mentioned in this forum i have just got email from the Abu dhabi office saying:

I am pleased to inform you that the entry clearance application has been approved and the applicant will be contacted shortly by our commercial partner with advice on how to collect his documents. I apologise for the delay in dealing with your case.

Wish me good luck
