I notice that both you and I have not had our status changed to Under Process at BHC - do you have any ideas why this may be?

I assume during next few days it should change. Maybe cos of the Independance day, Ramzan opening/closing times may be a delay and slowed it down and ours happen to be in those piles. Thats what I assume can be reason. Cos if there was anything else like sumic missing etc Im sure we would have been contacted by now.

Anyone else have any views, suggestions why this may be?

Seems like im only one who went and handed it in Mirpur lol

I did phone Gerrys last week to ask them why the status had not changed to 'Under Process at BHC' . They did try to assure me that it doesnt matter and that the application is under process. It was a very confusing conversation with contradictions throughout.

Until a few months ago there was no 'Under process' stage before, so it is possible some peoples' status simply changes to 'Ready for collection' after being on 'Forwarded to BHC ISB' for a long while. I'm no expert but it could be due to teething issues with the new extra stage added in recently. I wouldn't worry too much. You could try emailing just to ensure it is under process though.

hmmmm zar2009 I think it will be under process all it is that they dont update the website in real time. As I can recall with many members visas have been issued and when they come to know, the dates dont tend to match up.

If I was in your position I would email all of the email addresses in this thread.

I.e. the fco.gov.uk as well as Gerry's and also the UKhub. They are all in the last few pages.

Hey zar2009 no one has actually answered the question. They could have just stated if it is under process atleast so we know its been looked at.

They just provide the basic info on guide lines and time scales.

To be honest half of them dont even read te email properly I guess and just have a reply already typed out and saved on computer that they just copy and paste in the reply of the email just to save time I guess.

DITTO!!! I did state that they hadn't really answered my question and just got another pointless response back. But I think I am going to go with what Corrado was saying and that it is just teething problems. I am sure we have not been left out!!

There is no point in stressing ur self out on status changes. As they have responded in ur email stating that it doesnt necessary change. I am well aware that it can take a minimum of 12 weeks to process and that some of us are only 4 weeks in. However if you are going to introduce a system of status updates ...then at least it should be consistent!

Who has asked you to get 3 witness statements for where you live?

Are you a sponsor if so then your bank statements, wage slips, council tax, utility bills, and any other bill will have your address on it as proof,
That would be the best form of ID in a way to confirm where you live.

I dont know where you have got the idea of doing a witness statement or who has asked you to do it. 1st I have heard of it?

This is slightly different to a normal spouse visa application as it is an appeal hearing not initial application.
Sabeennaz, do you have a solicitor? If you do then he/she should advise what needs to be included in the witness statements. There is no set format. It depends on why the visa was refused. Generally, I would say that witness statements should discuss how long the witness has known you and your husband and the genuine nature of your relationship.
