Dependent Visa - TA

Post by rajb » Mon Aug 23, 2010 4:26 pm

Hi

I am in UK and my wife is going to apply for tier 1 general dependent visa from India. I need few clarifications on TA and Date of travel.

1. I have rented my friend’s house without any deposit. So in the Tenancy Agreement, there will be no deposit. Is TA without deposit considered as valid document?

2. Can the Tentative date of travel be within 2 to 3 weeks of applying?

Please advice

Regards,
Raj

1. Yes.
2. Shouldn't be a problem. See also ECB 9.5.

1. No issue as long as tenancy agreement has your name

2. you can put any travel date you wish to travel , but BHC does not guarantee your visa will be processed before that.

TA isn't mandatory for Tier 1 General category BTW.

Not mentioned in policy guidance as a requirement but good to include if one has it, as it independently satisfies the accommodation requirement of the immigration rules.
