Switching from employment to contracting

Post by sreblog » Sun Aug 22, 2010 10:48 pm

Hi All,

I am switching from employment to contracting by starting my own limited company.

Currently on Tier 1 and need to apply ILR next Nov 2011. Effectively my 1year financial year starts count from October this year.

Wanted to know that if this effects in anyway? plan is to take salary in dividents as director. If so what are the documents that needs to be submitted at the time of application.

Good to know if you have any pointers to manage accounts.

Regards,
Sreblog

Whether contracting or employed, settlement does not differentiate between the two! For tax reporting and compliance when starting a business, check with HMRC.

I am signing outside IR35 contract (Need to get it checked from IR35 lawyer though). Just curious to know why you asked this? Does that effect me any way for my PR
