Passport is expiring in next 1 year

Hi,
my company is planning to apply for a workpermit for me in the next one month. The workpermits are generally granted for a period of 3 years.
But my passport is going to expire in the next 1 year. Will it be a problem. And what should I do in that case.

Need some more answers :

1. Does that mean the UK work permit can only be issued till my passport validity or more than that?

2. Incase the work permit validity is more than the passport validity and I resissued my passport, do I need to apply for fresh visa or I need to carry my old passport.

1. (Remaining) validity of passport has no bearing on the length of the sponsorship / entry clearance granted.
2. Carry both passports, no problem. Or get it transferred to your new passport. Either way, your choice.
