Dependant visa

Dear Sir,

I am getting married in September and soon after that I will going to apply dependant visa for my wife.

I just want to know that does she needs to change her passport to change her last name before applying forDependant visa ?

But you said your wife was already in the UK as a dependent.

To answer your question, No. Because it an individual's choice to adopt the surname of spouse after marriage and not a compulsion.

This said, if you both want that she adopts your surname then my suggestion would be that you do get the change done (name change in passport) before applying for dependent EC.
