How long take Admin Review Prosess?

I got rejected Tier 1 Genaral and on 19th og Aug 10 i applied for Admin Review someone told me that Admin Review prosess genrally take jut 1 week.....they dont chack evrything like they jut consider refusal section.how they inform us if we sucsess?

We will aim to let you have the result of the review within 28 days. If, in exceptional circumstances, we are unable to complete the Administrative Review within the 28 days we will notify you in writing as to when to expect a decision.

The timelines invloved depends on various factors e.g. - workload, staff strength etc. And don't be surprised if you do not hear anything in the 28 days. You may just receive the decision (as and when a review is undertaken and decision taken).

In the manner local BHC decides/wishes to inform you - email/regular post/registered post/courier!

Hi sushdmehta, I know all policy guidance abt admin review but we got some cases in this forum that they said we revived in jut few days by mail or by post or courior so this is the depends on cases. Thanks

I have also applied (Sent by courier Mumbai to Mumbai BHC) for AR on 12th buddy, i recd confirmation from BHC on 16th Aug, till date recd nothing.

Am sharing this info cos u might get an idea, whats hapenning with others in same boat.Will update if i receive anything from them if you get anything plz update here on ur thread. as far as i have read on the internet it takes almost 25 -26 days.

My wifes visa got refused as VFS had asked for the original and photocopy of every doc, they took the photocopy of my bankstatements and returned the originals in an envelope to my wife. Wife thot they knew wot they were doing as they represent the BHC. My family is from westbengal, we received the acknowledgement letter dated the 12/07 and its been 7 weeks and havent heard a word. Phoned BHC 2 weeks ago and they said ECO hasnt yet checked the docs. I had a wee expectation that the decision would be overturned as i have explained everything in the appeal form and have attached the original bank statements.
Please advise what should i do? Im totally lost and most of these guys in the BHC dont even know anything about the case when u phone them. Anyway i could send a mail to an appropriate person in BHC? guys like sushdmehta could u's throw some light please

I applied for AR on 24/08/2010 still waiting .so it is almost 9 days no answer but they said they make decision within 28 days .So be patient i know it is frustrating process but i hope me and you will get approved .

I fax it to them then i sent an email to confirm if they received my application and the following day they reply that they received it and busy proceeding it .

Be patient and wait for 28 working days. OR call BDHC Mumbai 022 66502181 from MOn -Thursday 13:30 - 16:00 hrs Friday 08:00 am to 10:00 am

I have applied on the 15Jul in mumbai, India and then received rejection letter on the 2 Aug and filed for Admin review.

ECO refused my application on the grounds that my privous earnigs on paragraph 245C(c).
Eco Comments:
you have claimed 35 points based on your income for the period of finacial year2009-10.you r required to show two pisece of evidan from two diffrent sourses to corroboret ur income.you have provided.

1) official tax document
2)Letter from your accountant must be on heded paper and must confirm the groos and net pay.you accountant must be either fully qulified CA or who are member of register body such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA. you have not provided the requisite information nor have you shown that your accountant is a member of register body.

given this,
i m not satisfide that you have shown two pieses of 2 diffrent sources.

I am yet to hear from them on review. Could you please let me know if there will be a good chance the review will be successful ? Its been 25days and they havent responded yet.

any thoughts ?

I haven't not received any response yet ,my refusal is almost identical to yours .we have to wait but if you receive any answer please let me know.

Unfortunate not yet but i will phone them on Monday to check the progress
. I need to know whether they will approve the AR or not because i will reapply and make anew application as soon as they reply.it is very frustrating .Good luck .

Hi Shah,
Entire admin review process takes exactly or below 28 days.
In my case it took 14 days.
You will be notified by the VFS people calling you and inform you.
You can send mail to "Chennai.Adminreview@fco.gov.uk" with below details on status after a week you submitted the admin review. they will respond you ASAP then can.

Thanks for help, I submitted my AR requst b4 like more then 3 weeks after week they send me my Acknow. Recipt. I sent my Review in Mumbai VFS, on which ground they refused u? Thanks
