help required regarding changing Status from PSW

Hi every one .
can some one help and guide me what to do for changing my visa status from PSW to any other catogary .
am here in UK from last 6 years and got PSW on November 2009 .
from june 2010 i have purchased a running business worth 50k . now i want to change my visa cat can some one guide me what to do ether go for HSMP or Apply for work permit ?

will be very happy after reciving your commints .
