10 years if they practised deception in previous application

Post by asmi10 » Mon Sep 06, 2010 6:53 pm

How long are applicants automatically refused for?
If an applicant falls to be refused under 320(7B), applications must be refused for the following periods:

1 year if they left the UK voluntarily, whether or not at public expense;
5 years if they left UK voluntarily, at public expense;
10 years if they were removed or deported from the UK;
10 years if they practised deception (which includes using false documentation) in support of a previous visa application.

I am unable to understand that there is 10 years ban if they practised deception (which includes using false documentation) in support of a previous visa application.
Does the previous visa application mean only for entry clearance or does it cover leave to remain applications (in which deception was used) made in uk face 10 year ban?

I would be glad if you can answer my query....
