Father's Date of Birth on VAF9

Post by Dili » Tue Sep 07, 2010 1:00 am

Hi Guys,

I am applying for tier1 visa.
The VAF9 requires date of birth of Father, unfortunately I dont have this information. How important it is for visa processing? Should I contact UKBA about this? or should give a guess estimate on the application form?

Don't guess!!!!!
I was in the same situation I called the VAC (UKBA) and explained to them so they said I should put N/A on that space and explain in section 7: Additional Information the circumstances leading to you not knowing U r not the first one and definitely not the last one in this kind of situation. BTW I got my T1 after just 2 days of applying.
Don't lie just tell them the truth it will be fine.....
HOPE IT HELPS!!!!!!!!!

I don't think there is any section on the form where you can fill this in and neither is it required. If you want to mention this for any special reason suggest you do so on the covering letter.

This is unfortunate but it isn't inappropriate to say that even a person not alive has a date of birth. Please note the comment above as well.
