Most regular users tell people in your situation to go home and apply for a visa it is by far the quickest and easiest method but people hang on to Discretionary leave to remain and article 8.
They put themselves through a lot of pain instead of doing what you have done.
Congratulations

can I ask did the applicant mention that she was working? did she show proof of tax payments? or did you not mention it at all? Can you pm me regarding both applicant and sponsor letter?

cheers guys..thanks for sharing my joy.

with regards to the question as to if she was working while in the uk, the answer is yes. we admitted this in our application but did not provide any evidence of tax payments. I think they can find this out from your NI Number

I have the same situatuion ,i overstayed and we are now planing a trip to Zimbabwe my wife has Indefinate leave to remain ,i wanted to know

1)If you still have an examples of how you wrote your letter for your wifes application
2)Did your wife have any problems at the airport when she left for Zimbabwe
3) Did she mention in her application that she had been working ,as someone else advised me to show bank statements that i was working and i can support myself
