Has any early july ppl recieved any news yet?

or would this be not until nxt month

No nothing as yet. I don't even expect employer contact for another few weeks either given that early June applicants are only now starting to get their employers contacted.

The wait seems to be closer to four months rather than three at the moment due to how busy they are. You may have seen the news saying due to the volume of applications processing time is now over 12 weeks.

I am guessing that this means if you involve your MP after 12 weeks they can now also fob your MP off saying that the wait is now longer than 12 weeks as published on the website. So much for customer service targets!

Another question. Do my copies of original documents (bank statements, house deed, housing inspection report etc) need to be attested or not???

If you are the sponsor: All your documents should be orginals except for your passport. So if you are handing in for example, your orginal bank statements plus copies then the copies don't need to be certified. Same applies for anything your handing in which is an original document.

You do however, require a certified copy of your passport as you won't be handing in your passport.

Would you happen to know how much time it take to get a appointment to submit visa application. Is it days or weeks???

It certainly used to be days rather than weeks however due to the impending English language test I would guess it is now weeks. Depends on the centre too. Perhaps those who have applied very recently would like to comment?

Don't forget you need to get the TB screening done first.

For question 8.4.6 When did you last see your sponsor what date shall I put as my wife will apply when I am in pakistan. So shall I put the date I am leaving pakistan even tho she will apply before I leave???

Also 8.4.7 How do you keep in touch with your sponsor?

Well at the time of submitting application I will be in pakistan with wife so what what shall I put.

Alhamdulillah, my wife got the passport with the visa on.

We also arranged for her to come back tomorrow, just in time for Eid.

Does anyone know what kind of questions their employer's were asked when they were contacted??

I presume they ask salary, employment type (permanent/contract, full time/part time), employment commencement.

Do they ask if the spouse is currently employed at the company??

The reason why I am asking is that If I hand in my notice (one month notice period) and they contact my HR I will need to tell HR not to mention that I am on my notice period !!!!!!!!!

Are there any othe questions they ask your employers???

my employer was contacted on monday and the mgr wasnt there so they just asked the administrator to verify length of employment how many hours i do and confirm i work there. They didnt ask to speak to me even though i was there, i was surprised they didnt ask my salary but to be honest they have 6 payslips and my p60 so i dont see why they would need to ask. At the end of the conversation they took her name and finished the call. No other questions were asked because by the look of everyones answers it looks like they ask different questions to everybody.

i wouldn't worry too much. They phoned my house to speak to me and i was at work. My little brother told them i was at work and they said they would call back and they never did. So rather than take any risk, 2 days latter i emailed them and said, that i believe someone phoned my house to speak to me but i was at work. they said they would call back but as of two days still no phone call.

They just replied back, thank you for the email, we will contact you if we require any further assistance.

My suggestion is to email them and acknowledge that they called your husband but he was available due to meeting or where ever he was at that time.

Reason i say email them - if for any reason they get arsy and say he never answered the phone call, you have legally binding document that states where he was and the fact that they acknowledged this.

you can put the dates that you leave if you want and then state that you have regular contact since your departure from pakistan. you can also use part 9 additional comments section to stress this point.

just double check with your solicitor

i have got a really daft question. i am trying to check my application status online on the following link

Now my wife sent me our application reference number
which is gry-pk-xxxxxxxx-X.

now when i try to check my online status - i type the full reference number as above and type her date of birth but it seems invalid.

Has my wife sent me the wrong reference number or is the reference number in the wrong format??

or should i not be typing the full reference number ???(i.e. excluding the gry-pk- at the beginning and the -X at the end.
