Re-Entering After 1 and half years with TIER 1 General visa

Post by h_s_m_p » Fri Sep 10, 2010 12:36 pm

I got my HSMP Tier 1 General Migrant visa valid from October 2008. I made an entry to UK last year (Jan 2009) and stayed there for 8 days. Due to recession and family medication issues I couldn't able to relocate to UK. Now I have to visit UK for a Business presentation representing my employer. I would like to know is there any time restrictions that I should not use HSMP visa for this visit. My HSMP visa is valid till 2011 October.

since I am travelling for business presentation and my company is going to sponsor me this trip I am bit concerned about the immigration process.

Can anyone please help me on this. If you feel that i should not carry on with HSMP visa then is it advisable to apply for BV.

the Tier 1 EC must not be used habitually to make short trips to the UK (e.g. - visiting UK repeatedly to attend to project / work assignments using Tier 1 visa). This is not allowed and if the trend is noticed by IOs upon arrival in to UK, they will be in their right to deny entry to the individual.

I dont want to take the excuse that this would be my second visit using TIER 1 general visa. As per the link provided by you i cannot have more than one visa in that case if i apply for BV then HSMP will be cancelled...correct?

It is not possible to hold more than one visa or entry clearance.
Self-explanatory?
