Tier2 Dependent Visa Maintenance Fund, apply in the UK

Post by liewanne » Thu Sep 02, 2010 9:00 pm

Dear Members, I am currently on Tier 2 General Visa (My nationality is Malaysia). I have my husband here with me as my dependent. Now, I am going to apply dependent visa for my newborn baby. I understand that my maintenance fund must have 800+533+533= 1866. I have 1900 in my account since June 9. my question is, if i were to submit my bank statement dated June1- June 30, July 1 to July 31 and August 1 - August 31. Will this be OK to show the evidence that I have the sufficient maintenance fund for three months? Will having the money in my account since June 9 NOT June 1 can be a problem. Or should I wait for another month to submit my application?
Would appreciate advice from experienced members. Thank you.

See Policy guidance for details.
I personally think if you and ur husband are already have valid visas, and u are in UK, then u don't have to show maintenance for both of u. U need to show maintenance funds only for the ''little applicant'' i.e £533 only held for 90 days.

I think i have mentioned that u need to show maintenance funds, held for 90 days, U can wait until 9th of September and print out latest bank statement from machine in the bank and get it stamped from the bank. Otherwise if not urgent wait until your next statement arrives.
But as i said u need to show £533.So if u had £533 since 1st june, then it should be ok.

Dependant visa approved.
Passport received. All these only took two weeks. Straight forward and quick!
