Surrendering Indian passport - 3 months grace period

Post by newlybritish » Thu Sep 16, 2010 11:00 pm

Hi,

The CGI Birmingham site mentions that there is 3 months grace period when no penalty will be applied if someone travels on Indian Passport after acquiring foreign passport.

Can someone please confirm if HCI London follows the same. HCI London doesn't mention that and also can't find this on VFS site, since now they are handling the "Indian Passport Surrender"

http://www.cgibirmingham.org/index.php? ... ages&id=20

Grace period of three months is allowed from the date of acquisition of foreign citizenship for the purpose of travel on Indian passport
