applying for british citizenship after 14 years concession

Post by Sandieo » Sun Sep 19, 2010 12:23 pm

I applied for ILR in march 2004 following over 14 years illegal/legal stay in the uk. I obtained my ILR in Dec 2005. I have 2 kids aged 16 and 14 who were born in the uk and are registered as british citizens and so is my partner, a british citizen (although we are not married). Can I apply for my british citizenship now or do I have to wait until Dec 2010 when it will be exactly 5 years of legal residency in the uk?
