Fiance visa... question about money! please help...

Wondering if anyone could help me regarding the financial requirements for the fiance visa. This is my situation....

I want to apply for the fiance visa in June 2011 - showing my bank statements from january - june. However, I will be working part time until July 2011. Until then, after tax, bills etc I will have £600 a month income.

I am just wondering whether the ECO will take savings into consideration to meet the financial requirements, if my monthly income is not quite enough. My fiance and I both have decent savings between us, can this 'make up' for my generally low income. I return to full time work in July, where I will earn double what I earn now... but really want to apply for the visa in June. If I have a letter from my employer stating that im going full time, with my contract etc, will this help things? Or should I wait until I have 3 months payslips showing my full time earnings until I apply?

Would appreciate some info, and sorry if this question seems really silly.
