This is pathetic and unfair.

I can’t believe that they refused your visa due to non-attested copies of your husband’s visa. This is not a requirement that visa copies should be attested. Main applicant’s visa has issued by embassy or home office which they can easily verify.

As I said earlier, if they want to delay your application they will create a reason…

Really sorry for you…

@dr in distress: thanks for best wishes and sorry about your visa refusal on non-attested passport.

Yes I hope they don't apply this "undocumented" rule on me and grant my wife and daughters Visa. Inshallah.

Also this is true, I have seen so many people who sent just photo copies of their passports and got Visa. Recently one of my colleague applied for his wife for Tier 1 dependent visa from India and they got visa on just photo copies of his passport. I don't know why they charge so much money if they can not even bother to check or verify such things from their end.

I wish all the applicants best of luck and pray that they get a positive response. Inshallah

@oc2pus
we were talking about her previous application which was refused because of non attested passport photo copy of her husband.

Dr_in_destress applied again on 06/09/2010 and status of her new application is as below. I wish her best of luck.

######
@dr in distress:
06/09/2010: Applied from KHI VAC
06/09/2010: "Application Forwarded to Islamabad OC on 06/09/2010"
No further update
######

@dr in distress: I have noticed that status of my wife and your applications is not changing since the application date. Whereas the status of other applicants changed within 4-5 days of submitting their applications.

######
@AANWAR (Me):
03/09/2010: Applied from KHI VAC
03/09/2010: "Application Forwarded to Islamabad OC on 03/09/2010"

Hi,
Does anybody have any clue about within how much time a dependent has to travel after the visa is granted?

Regards
Azee

I believe there is no such time restriction - not for Tier 1 dependent at least.

I tried asking the UKBA here and their reply was "the sooner the better" and to ask the local high commission in the country for more details.

Hi Fellows: I know this question is not related to processing time! my apology! I sent my original bank statemtent to my wife to include in the application......

...I am applying Tier 1 dependent (Wife + 2 kids) from VAC Lahore and the Fedex guys are saying that we need to submit three sets of original bank statements for each dependent? totally a Ridiculous requirement!!!!!

I sent only one to my dependents! Have somebody came across such a situation before! really confused as this could delay my case for further 2-3 weeks?

Isn't it OK if we attach the original with spouse application and copies with Kids application?

Please share?

Thanks

@bouqet777
completely rediculous you only need to show only one orginal bank statement which will show sufficitent funds of ur all dependents. i.e if u r in uk for more than 1 yr u need to show £533+£533+£533 (WIFE & 2 Kids). i hope its helps
remember fedex guys doesnt know anything about immigration policies

sorry who gave back ur orignal doc. it was gerry's or BHC?

if gerrys return ur orgional doc this is biggest blunder by them bcoz BHC consider and take decsion on only orginal documents not on photo copies.

I know this but you can launch complaint about this issue in gerrys and even BHC. you can email them explain what happened with you. becuase some time it cause delays and make docs out dated. I hope u have all up 2 date doc specially bank statement @ time of submission.

Good Luck!
