Post study work visa for architecture part 2 graduate

Post by atebera » Wed Sep 29, 2010 10:30 pm

I have recently graduated from a Bachelor of Architecture degree (actually a postgraduate degree but classed as Bachelor for funding pruposes), and need to complete two years work experience in the UK to become a chartered architect.

I have previously worked a year after my first degree, a BA Architectural Studies (Hons) degree, and had an International Graduate Scheme visa.

Under PSW regulations, I can't apply for the visa as I have had IGS before. How then do I complete my training? Which tier visa should I be applying in?

Will a potential employer sponsor your work based training? That seems to be the only option for you, under the PBS system.

Hi atebera,

I'm also currently facing the situation, I am wondering how have you been going around this matter? I am currently preparing for my appeal, have you gone through the same process? Please update me with your current situation.
