Switching from 'Family member of an EEA national to Tier 1

Post by london2newyork » Mon Oct 04, 2010 5:55 pm

Hi,

I have a residence permit under'Family member of an EEA national'.
Unfortunately we are sepatered and my EEA spouse is moving back to her own European country which means I have to apply under deiiferent category as this visa won't be valid anymore.

I would like to know if I can switch to Tier 1 (General) highly skilled worker as I have enough points. Before I switched to EEA family member I had post study work visa and initialy I came to UK as student.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Many Thanks,

RV

You'll need to apply for EC as Tier 1 migrant from outside the UK.
