English Language - UKBA Point calculator always awards point

Post by t1s2010 » Thu Sep 02, 2010 3:09 pm

Hi Friends,

I was trying to verify, if I need 'college letter' for English language proof.
It seems, point-calculator is awarding me points for any course length.

I am MCA (3 years PG course) from NIT, Nagpur, Maharastra.

On points calculator, I wanted to reconfirm if M.Tech. which is 2 years course may be on NARIC and MCA may not be there.

However, I enter any course length, it always gives me 10 points.
I tried (1) 1 year or less (2) 3 year or less (3) 9 years or less.

A 9 year master's degree does not make sense on points calculator.

Please help, if my awarded degree would suffice or I should take letter from college.

P.S. - Taking letter from college is least wanted; because I may have to travel and will kill my 3-4 days.

Thanks in advance.

How did you conclude that a letter from University is a valid evidence?

Thanks for your kind attention Mod.

I am aware that it is not valid. (NARIC certification is).
Till yet, I was considering UKBA points calculator as I always entered 3-years course length.

As UKBA point calculator always gives point for any course length, I thought better to be safe with additional document (to avoid 3-year Vs 2- year issue).

I would say, to make myself feel more confident with my case.
Please suggest.

3 year course = "3 years but less than 4 years" in the PBS calculator.

After carefully reading guidance, I will go with my certificate only.
If PBS calculator gives us point for any course length for whatever reason, it is not my problem.

Still, I keep this question open for all friends here.
How come any course length giving me points blindly?
 Because, college offers only ENGLISH COURSES. LoL.

Thoughts??

It just gives 10 points for NIT college.
I tried 1 year bachelor degree and got 10 points again 8)

Today, I got my initial T1(G) stamped.

Only Original Degree works without any 'letters' from university etc.
(As Sushdmehta suggested - documents outside T1-guidance-pdf can merely 'support' application. Such documents do not stand as primary documents)

I followed motto of - 'if you originals are enough then do not confuse the case worker'.

I submitted my PG degree certificate.

I also submitted my 6 semester mark sheet. I assumed that case-worker may be British and P.G. of 3-years may be confusing.
Far fetched may be. But two sections 'degree' and 'english' so sent mark sheets.

You do not need these additional documents and these documents serve no purpose whatsoever.

Hi T1s2010,

Thanks for your reply.

So do we need to send the bachlore degree and bachlorre degree certificate. As I have heard people saying that English points we get only based on Bachlore degree and not Master.

Please solve my query.

Many Thanks.

For meeting the English Language Requirement Send the degree which gets you 10 points under the relevant section on the PBS calculator.

I am claiming points for qualification aganist my masters degree (MCA) and For english language skill, I am claiming points with my bachelors degree.

Do I need to to send the Transcripts for both the Degrees also?

Hello,

Even I done my MCA and want to claim my qualification and english attributes points based on my master's degree.

So do I need to submit all my marksheet right from 10th to MCA and my bachlore degree certificate.

Will it lead to any rejection if I just submit my master degree and master's marksheet.

Please seniors in this forum........Please help.

I spoke to VFS customer care in india and they advise to submit all the marksheet and degree certificate from 10th to MCA.

Please guide me on this.

Many Thanks.

Marksheets are not required.

The degree certificate is the only evidence needed when you get points in PBS calculator for qualifications and / or English language for your qualification(s).

Try sending mark sheets of six semester and Original degree certificate.
