Need advice.

Post by hsyasin » Thu Oct 07, 2010 2:48 pm

Hi all, the thing is I was born here in the UK in 1984 when my dad was doing his PhD and when he completed his PhD he had to go back due to his job and didn’t find enough time for British citizenship. My father was on student visa and my mother was on dependant. Then I came here to UK to study Masters which I completed in 2008 then I switched to Tier1-Post-Study Work category. And found a decent job here and started working. But now unfortunately the rules have changed so drastically that I’m seeing less chance to remain in the UK and my visa is expiring next year. But, I really want to settle and work here in the UK.
So, I really need your sincere advice as to how can I stay here. I mean there should be some advantage of being born in the UK, like waving-off restrictions to remain in the UK like ILR.

I think the advanatage of being born in the UK ends in 1983, your sister was lucky to be born a year earlier. But in your case, its a year out of the rule.
