Very short time for HSMP extension appli -- need help urgent

Hi group,

My current HSMP is due to expire on 11th May 2006.
I know the standard procedure is to apply before 2 months.

But I received my first pay today only from my employer and I dont receive pay slips as I am working on project to project basis but my contract started last year October and got finished now.
I have been doing some odd jobs and getting cash payments but no pay slips until now.

Has anyone applied just before their extension date?

Kindly suggest. I am planning to apply for extension by 20th April 2006.

i applied a week before my expiry, no problems.
