Maintenance funds - two accounts

Post by spfc » Fri Oct 08, 2010 6:21 pm

Any suggestion on what is the best option to prove maintenance funds in my case? I am applying outside UK and both accounts are in my name.
I will be applying on 1st November, so start date should be 1st August:

bank X (from 01/08/2010 until 01/09/2010) = minimum 1600 pounds
bank Y (from 01/08/2010 until 01/09/2010) = minimum 2000 pounds

bank X (from 01/09/2010 until 01/11/2010) = minimum 3000 pounds
bank Y (from 01/09/2010 until 01/11/2010) = less then 200 pounds

My questions are:

1- Can I use both accounts as proof of maintenance funds?
2- I just need the sum of 2 accounts for the first month. Should I get 3 months statements from both accounts or 3 months from main account (X) and only first month for additional account (Y)?

1. Yes.
2. If you can, IMHO, arrange for 3 months statements for both the accounts.
