Can dependent continue work while visa is processing?

Post by tsleng » Sat Oct 09, 2010 11:45 am

Dear All,

On behalf of a friend, I am asking for advice.

He is currently a student with visa till 31 oct (from his undergraduate degree) and will be continuing an MSc course.
Therefore, he will be applying for the extension visa soon.

Problem is his wife as a dependent.
She is working at the moment and was wondering what will be the situation during the gap after oct 31st and my friend getting the visa extension approved.

Is she still eligible to work between that time while the HO is processing it?
If so, is there something (rules/documents that state she can still work legally) for Human Resource as proof?

Thanks in advance.

The dependent can work until his/her visa is under process.

Do you mean the dependent can work while it is processed?

So between 31st Oct and whenever it is being approved the dependent can work?
