Paid Fine in court for Drink & Drive Offence in India

Hi,
I have paid fine in court for Drink & Drive offence in India.
I am applying for Tier 1 visa.
Can anyone tell me if my case would be rejected..

Declare it on the form and hope for the best.

I would definitely be declaring it in the form.

But if i come to know in advance the solution/ the paper work to be done for it,

I would be saved from the rejection.

Ideally if the conviction was done outside UK, UKBA has no process to check. I am not sure if they check your records with the Police. Based on my experiance, i would just declare it on the form. It should not impact your application.
