Clarification on Maintenance fund

Post by Lapis » Thu Oct 14, 2010 4:06 pm

Hi,

Please I need clarification on the maintenance fund, Kinda confused on guidance to follows. From 23rd July 2010, (http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... enance.pdf). It was said that the maintenance fund should be in the account for "1 calendar month" But I still read in this forum that people still got problem with 90 days rule. Kindly clarify what guidance to follow.

Thanks

Thanks for your quick response. I kept the required maintenance fund in my account for 90 days but 4 weeks ago the balance dropped for like £13.00 which I reinstated the following day, but the closing balance for each month remained at the required maintenance fund. woud I be refused on this basis?

Thanks.

Find any other statement with £13 or more to cover the day you went down.

Good luck!

Thank you for your advice. Can I use my wife statement in addition of the £13 that was short? She is applying alongside with me also my son, I went down of £13 of £1333.00 of myself and my little boy but my wife got almost £600 (£533) to proof in her statement as dependant.

Yes, you can include your wife and or son's statements to cover the days you're short as long as they're included in the application. And make sure you enclose a covering letter.

That should work!
