I am in the process of filling in my fiances visa application. I want to cover all bases and have spoken to the local council about having an immigration inspection to make sure there is enough space in the house for my fiance to come and live with us. I am currently living in my family home and there are quite a few of us living here but the house is big and meets the criteria for the number of persons allowed under the immigration inspection which I believe for a four bedroomed house is 7.5.
However, on speaking to the environmental officer who will inspect the property he says that whilst we might meet the criteria of 7.5 people we may not meet the criteria for 'personal space' which counts everyone irrespective of age as 1 (not .5 as under the immigration rules).
I am therefore considering not having the inspection as am worried it may actually cause more harm then good?
Can anyone help me on this matter / give me any advice.
Thank you all in advance
