Dependent Visa

Post by vishal07 » Fri Oct 15, 2010 11:14 am

I am planning apply for dependent visa for my wife .
I recently got tier 1 approval and I didn’t fly to UK yet ..

I have got married 1 and half year ago ….I was working abroad and my wife was preparing for some competitive exam in India .
So we were not living together for almost 1 and half year ..

Is this situation( not living together) will create any problem for dependent visa application .

I have below proof
1) marriage certificate
2) my name in her passport ( as husband )
4) marriage invitation card , photo graphs etc ..
5) I have maintenance fund in my saving account .

Do I need some other certificate ..etc ..

Please help its very urgent

Thanks & Regards
Ravindra

At least make an effort to read through what is being suggested, before making assumptions or excuses.

The link above is not for a "guidance document" but for a topic in this forum relevant to your query. One of the posts in the topic hints at the evidence(s) that may be required when people in your circumstances need to make a dependent application.

dependent visa

please advise which is wise:

1: applying main and dependent visa at the same time, or
2: apply for dependent after I get my visa stamped?

The latter, for the following reasons:
1. If you apply together, main migrant's application refusal will automatically lead to dependent application refusal - loss of dependent fees unnecessarily.
2. Dependent EC refusal is given a full right of appeal when the main migrant has already been granted leave to enter/remain.

If I plan to apply for dependent after getting my visa but plan to travel together, while filling my VAF9, what should be filled in sec 5.1.

Also should I have 2800 or 4400 maintained while filing my application?

(4400 will be maintained while filing dependent's)
Please advise.
