Spousal Visa Application - Pakistan

Salaam my wife submitted her visa application in mid september 2010. It has since then changed to Under Process. I thought it will be done within few weeks, but by reading from this forum and a bit of research I have come to see reality. Does anyone get a reply quiker than 12 weeks or is it a must for 12 weeks?

Currently people are getting replies within 12-16 weeks.

I do dua to Allah that all of you will get good news and join your partners as soon as but i have request to all of you today that plz plz do special dua for me that they will overturn my refusal and issu me the visa before March 2011 becouse inshaAllah i am gona be father in March 2011 and i want to see my baby at that time and i want to be with my wife at that time so i am very desperate .

I am praying for you and all the other members who are waiting, inshallh they should overturn the refusal, what has your solicitor said? I know it's very hard especially in your case, coz you want to be there for your wife in this situation, but keep positive and inshallah you will hear good news, you are in my duas - good luck

Good luck to yasmin786 and bhi33 i pray you both hear good news this week, they are definately taking the mick now, i thought mine took ages at 16 weeks, be strong guys and do plenty of dua coz thats all we can do.

i hav checked my hubbys status its still the same application forwarded to Islamabad OC on 06/30/2010 i dnt think his status will ever change will jus have to wait for a phone call

Bhi33 have they also rang u or u jus found out from the status change?

The advertised processing time for settlement applications is 12 weeks from the date of application however unfortunately they are currently taking longer than 12 weeks to process - further details are available on Gerrys website. I think my wife's decision was made the same day as yours but still no status change yet.

Hi Guys just a quick query,

My cousins wifes visa was refused because he failed to submit proof of paying tax, He is self employed etc, He managed to get the correct paperwork and sent it to the address on the notice Croydon and BHC Islamabad.
He was hoping the ECO overturns the original decision saving an appeal
He hasn't heard anything back as of yet, do they acknowledge receipt of the paperwork and if so how long do they take.

Did he formally appeal on the AIT2 form, or did he just write a letter and send the documents to Croydon or AIT in Leicester?.

If he did latter then I think he has cocked it up slightly ( sorry). He shoud have done the first thing. The first is the formal procedure to appeal against a decison. If he hasnt done that that and 28 days have elapsed since the refusal, it will mean that it will be to late for him now to appeal and his only option left is to make a fresh application.

If he did appeal the correct way , it will take 2- 3 months before he hears whether th edecision has been overturned or not. If he did it the other way then the ECO is under no obligation to respond to applicant, because he did not follow the correct procedure and the ECO may well just ignore the letter and additional documents that the applicant sent.

it appears that the UK Visa section are just replying with their automated emails about the processing time. they would not even confirm if they have received my updated employment details even though they advised me to send the documents!!!!!

I have made the august list and attached the link aswel, if anyone applied in august you can add your details onto it and also if anyone gets any updates they can add this info on the list .

July applicants are still waiting for a response so dont think any august applicants will hear yet but i think in about three weeks time we should get a response for the early august applicants

Information to everyone that recieved a message to collect your passports.
You do not need to wait until Thursday.
If you call Gerrys they will advise that you can turn up between mon-fri 2-3pm.

Please call them to confirm.
