Tier 1 - Week Ending Date or Payment Date in payslips?

Post by ram11 » Mon Oct 18, 2010 10:13 am

Hi Folks,

Just a bit confused with regard to the week ending dates in my payslips and the payment dates.

I am planning to apply in January for my Tier 1, for the period between January 2010 and December 2010. I am paid weekly and I get paid the week after.

For the last week ending 31st December 2010, I get paid on 7th of January which will be reflected on the bank statement. Do the caseworkers consider week ending on the payslip or the payment date on the pay slip?

My question is whether the payment on 7th of January will be considered or they consider the week ending period. The published guidance is vague about this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You must consider the actual period you worked as your claim period. The payment date shouldn't matter.

Thanks Aruni,

U mean to say although the actual period I work was for 24th to 31st December and I get paid on 7th of January, that will be also included by the caseworker, right?

Thanks

Yes, if your claim period includes 24th to 31st Dec.
