Hi Asal,

Where was the baby born? In the Uk or in your home country?

If in the UK, the parents name on the birth certificate need to exactly match the ones on the passport for the baby to be registered with the Indian Consulate(if you are from India), which is required for getting the baby's passport.

I was in the same boat a week back and had to get the birth certificate amended to mention my wife's middle name as well.

Regards

Baby was on home country. Wife first name is there in the birth certificate but not the initial .
