Contact email to chase application

Hi, Can someone please tell me which email address do i use to chase a decision on Spouse visa, its been 3 months now, Application was submitted in Pakistan, and i have emailed British consulate in islamabad but no response, so yesterday I emailed 'Publicvisaenqs@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk', is this a correct one? how long does it take for them to respond to the email?
When/If my employer gets contacted in UK, do they get emailed or phone call is made to them, what is it that they get asked by homeoffice?
