Change University, apply visa again?

OMG, I really need your help.

I already got my visa, and currently studying my first year in the UK, however I'm planning to change to a different uni and the course will start in January. They said that I have to reapply for a new visa in the UK.
The thing is, I heard if they refuse my visa, I can't continue my study at my original University and I have to come back to my country :-S
I have sent them 3 emails but no reply .

Anyone done something similar or know is it true or not that they will send me home if my new visa application is refused?

My original tier 4 visa is after 5 October 2009.
