no acknowledgement from nationality office

Hi,

applied for kids registration (rule 1(3)) through NCE on 8/10/10, money debited on 16/10/10 but no acknowledgement or any other letter recieved yet.

any comments on this please, should i contact nationality office?

They send it via second class royal mail. It usually takes 5 days. There is a slim chance that the royal mail lost it.

I wouldnt worry ..My Naturalisation application was approved with me not receiving any communication from the Home office - as long as the fee has been deducted, it means that they have received your application and it will go into processing.

You have confirmation they got it as fee has been debited from your card.
And probably you also have Royal Mail tracking number.
The only real disadvantage is you do not know your case reference number.
But you don't need it as long as you don't want to querry them.
But if you want to querry them then you'd phone them anyway and then you will find out your ref number :D
