Naturalisation application

Post by Shrimathi » Sun Nov 07, 2010 9:05 am

I got my ILR on 19 Nov 2009 and my wife got it on 04 January 2010. If we jointly apply for naturalisation on 19 Nov 2010, will my wife get naturalised on descretionary grounds at same time as me (If we jointly apply on 19th Nov, my wife will be 45 days short of 12 months of ILR). Both my chidren already BC.
Thanks for help

Shrimathi, given the short time between 19.11.10 and 04.01.11, surely it would be simpler, and more risk-free, just to delay the joint applications until on or later than 04.01.11.

In other words, why subject your wife to a use of a discretion .... unnecessarily?

Dear John
Many thanks for your prompt reply and advice. I take your advice, it is safer to apply on 04th Jan. Only reason I thought of applying earlier is due to anxiety of possible change of rules which has been happening during recent past.
Thanks
