Schengen question

Can someone on a Schengen alter his immigration status in any way? Particularly, can someone visiting Germany change into a student?

By "schenegan' you probably imply a schenegan visitors or tourist visa.

Changing visitors visas is not encouraged, and can even get you into trouble. I wouldn't recommend it.

The best you can hope for is an extension of your tourist or visitors visa, but even that is done only under very exceptional circumstances.

What I mean is if the Schengen has a similar legal facility of the UK visitors visa on which a visitor may legally change his status to that of student if he becomes enrolled on a post=graduate or higher level of study. I do not wish to ifer anything illegal.
