The only contractual agreement is that your application will be processed by the staff at UKBA. There is no time limit on such application. They can take as long as they want to make sure that they are satisfied that you are genuine and meet all the requirement to get visa.

I think you better get used to the fact that Pakistan is near the top of the list when it comes to applying for visas to the UK and therefore is likely to be rather busy. It will even get worse now because of the large number of applications that have gone in to beat the 29/11/10 deadline so people can beat the new English test requirement that is going to come in. The average wait will be around 4 months for the next few months. You may be alone for some while yet

Hello,

Got an SMS early morning "Passport Ready for collection"
Just collected them a while back. BY the grace of God almighty I got the Visa.
Decision was taken on 28th Oct the day they made an inquiry at place of employment and the visa stamp also bears the same date.

I sincerely thank you all who have been here and must admitt that this is a great service to all the applicants who visit this forum. I look forward to contribute to this service in future.

Hi Ahmed!!! I am still waiting to hear from you. Also applicants from July, I am sure you are not far away from your decision as I heard today that there was some error in their IT department and due to this there have been few delays in processing. But it has been sorted out and they are clearing out now.

Is there a spreadsheet for October? Its good to hear people are getting the visas and its also good to hear that the back log is on its way to getting cleared. I still think its a ridicules service for the price you have to pay. The turn around is diabolical. On top of all that they are discriminating against.

Not yet, no chance Oct applicants will get reply august are starting to get reply most Lilly in Jan Feb now cause off holiday season...

All three of us applied at different centres and we are also at different stages of the application process.

All of us are roughly in our 16th week, surely something should be happening soon?

I sent an email yesterday if the ECM has received the employment details that I sent. I have not had a response yet so insh allah i am hoping them to confirm this today.

Hi, Just had an email informing me that my wifes spouse visa application has been processed, and i should wait for VAC to contact my wife to collect her paperwork, we have been asked not to get in touch with Gerrys as this will cause delay on all applications.
How long will it be now?
How do I know what decision has been made?

Info provided by other applicants shows once decision is made it could take just over a week before its ready for collection , so it wont be too long now .

They will not tell you the outcome on email or phone. You only get the outcome once the applicant goes to collect the documents back.

I know zar2009 I cant believe it. If Allah wills insha Allah we should have news by end of week, otherwise 17th week starts this Thursday.
Going on and on and on....
