I just called Home Office and they said that from the 1st November the fees will increase for ILR applications to £1250. So unfortunately they havent just amended certain categories.

A planned increase to UK immigration fees on 01 November 2010 has been delayed. The reason for the delay is unknown but it is expected that the fees will increase some time soon.

That is not fair....not enough notice....imagine someone had already posted the application yeasterday (b4 28 days) for ILR then what will happen to them....it is not fair ...it is going to confused people out there....
or if someone had chosen an immigration advisor to whom the applicant may have submitted the application already...what will happen ?

Anyone applying from the 22nd November will have to do so on the new forms and pay the increased fee.
If you applied earlier than the 28 day qualifying date the application would be rejected. A legal advisor will ask the applicant to complete new forms + the additional fee if the application is being submitted after the 22nd November.

Do you think , the notice they have given is fair ? a weekend....
it would have helped people if they had given enough notice...esp the people who have booked appointment on 22/11 (on or after the fee will increase)..and who came to know on 19/11/10 as they published on 19/11/10
if they had taken banker draft for old fee , they may have to do it again before monday 22/11/10 ..and the banks dont do bankers draft on weekends.....
what a planned notice....

Couldn't agree more!!! We all know there is an upcoming fee raise. However, the notice is really short and seemed even rush people into this!!
Fairness???C'mon!!!Making more money out of this? Well, that certainly explains.
