Tier-1 Initial Inside UK application as Contractor. Help!!

Post by adityaisukapalli » Wed Nov 24, 2010 10:42 am

Guys,

I am on my PSW (Tier-1) visa and will be eligible to apply Tier-1 general in March 2011 as i will get £37k of my previous earnings by the end of february 2011. (I need to get minimum of £35k).

I work via my own Limited Company. I take Salary of £8k + Dividens.

To show my previous earnings, what are the exact documents i need to show when i go PEO to apply Tier-1 general ?

Will,

1) Pay Slips
2) Dividend Vouchers
3) Personal Bank Statements
4) Accountant Letter confirming the income

enough ? or do i need to produce any Business details like Business documents, business bank statements, invoices, contracts etc ? Is it necessary ?

Please help guys, i must apply by early March 2011.

Are you planning for early March 2011, so that you take benefit of quota before April, 2011?

IMHO, you should try to apply earlier than that. (By some self employment etc). Quotas were over in Oct in 20 days and Nov in 10 days.

Plz ignore if I made wrong assumption on your query.
However, I believe quota filling is very much sure.

Hello Friends,

I am in the same boat as aditya but a slight change in my story.

even I'm applying my tier-1(inside UK) general in the first week of march2011 ,I operate thru my own limited company( I am the solo director n the shareholder) taking salary every month from my bussiness accc to my personal acc and paying tax for £35k as suggested by my accountant.

Can someone please clarify me these following questions.
1. What am I?? "EMPLOYEE of my company" or "self employed"???
2. In process of working thru my own limited company, I just took salary but no dividends for the past 12 months. In this case will it be ok if I just submit my salary slips and bank statements supporting my earnings while making my tier-1 general application?
3.Here are the documents I am planning to submit, please tell me if I need any more,
. salary slips
. Bank statements
.Letter from my accountant confirming my earnings

Please drop me your valuable suggestions, friends.

Many Thanks.

If you are not taking any Dividends, it is a straight case. You can submit Payslips, Personal Bank Stataements, Accountant letter will be fine.

Apply soon or there might be dificulties getting same day appointment. If you are applying by post that should be fine.
