English test for dependent application

Please i need an urgent advise on this issue. Does one require to undertake an English test when applying as a dependent of a TIER 1 holder. Both parties are resident in the UK during application.

Again,no. Test is only required if applying as dependent of someone permanently settled in the UK.

As the first line in the PDF says, it is only for people settling in the UK. Tier 1 General is not a "settled" category.
