Tier 1 visa Finished- say good bye

Post by markjoshi » Tue Nov 30, 2010 12:49 pm

UKBA has today announced that from April 2011 Tier 1 general visa would be abolished.
Any guess what will happen to people who got tier 1 visa and were planning to apply for extension?

Before saying good bye I would like to say good morning to you... You have been asleep for atleast a week when it was actually announced...

Go back to sleep and hopefully you will wake up just in time for your extension...

A

I'm not in India. And I believe it was announced by Theresa May in the House of Commons in London, not in Delhi  - last week already!!!

So, UKBA has responded to any of questions? If changes would effect people who are already here on tier 1??

You probably have nothing to worry about, but you'll have to wait for the official announcements as there hasn't been any. Read the last few pages of this thread to see all the scaremongering and speculation going on. Remember, there's been NO official communication on extensions, so don't believe everything you read. But you can definitely find some insight there.

Good luck and take it easy.
