i submitted my husbands documents for spouse visa in May 2010 and got a reply in August stating that hes visa had been refused so i gave in the supporting documents they needed and just today i got a call from him saying that they are asking for his passport so he can have his visa....
My question is how long will this take wen will he get his visa by? he has 2 have another TB test also

Has he got an official letter asking for his passport cos they simply dont ring you and ask you to bring in passport for the visa to be stamped.

ye he got the actual letter saying that they are satisfied with the papers and that he should submit his passport

this is what it said
WE HAVE RECEIVED YOUR COMPLETED APPEAL PAPERS AND FURTHER SUPPORTING DOcumentation in respect of your recent entry clearace refusal.
In light of these new submissions it has been decided that the refusal decision should be reviewed.
You should re-submit your passport as detailed in this letter to allow this process to be complete with refence to you application for entry clearance.

sorry i also forgot to add they also said in this letter ke Plz confirm your intended date of Travel and length of stay and TB certificate , a copy of your sponsers passport........what does this mean? are they gna give the visa or not? so confusing!

takes about 6-8 weeks to get visa stamped

It atkes about 6 months to get appeal hearing and another 2- 3months to get visa stamped if you win your appeal.

my refusal reason was the house rent..that it did not show in my statement i am taking money out of my bank it only showed for 2 months and they had a doubt and also i needed more receipts to show i had been giving my rent..they got back to my husband after 4 months saying they are satisfied with the supporting papers..
what was the reason for your refusal?
