Congratulations to everyone who got their visa's recently, it's great to see they have reduced the waiting time dramatically.

Alhamdullilah we've received the following message:

Your application is ready for collection; please visit the UK Visa Application Centre where you submitted your visa application to collect the same 12/03/2010

They sent it after Gerry's had closed so now, we have a very nervous weekend waiting for Monday. Please make dua for us and congratulations to everyone who has received theirs.

Monday will be 5 weeks from the day of submission, so much quicker than previously.

Minty please update my details. Thanks

Hi guys,

I am new here, my wife applied for visa on 1st october and I have been told that a decision was made on 12th November, however we have not recieved any further information. Can somebody give me an e-mail or phone number so I can check up on the progress. I have been following the forum since August and I am certain I have seen the e-mail address but cant find them at the moment.

If you have been told by the BHC that a decision has been made then it is best to contact Gerry's. You can find their email addresses in the link below, you should email the office your wife submitted her visa to:

http://www.ukvacpk.com/contactus.aspx

I emailed them yesterday they didnt respond, but today they updated status ready for collection, so i dont know if it helped, but seems to

Thanks riz ras, I did try the e-mail for Islamabad before but got an error. Whenever I paste the e-mail It has an extra space and does not work, I only realised that now and resent my last e-mail.

Thanks once again.

Salaam,

I am a new member, The details of my husbands application are as follows:

Submitted in ISB
Application forwarded to islamabad OC on 23/09/2010
Under process at BHC on 06/10/2010
No employer contact as of yet.

I read that The Ridler's wifes VISA has been granted, we applied at the same time..... very happy for u m8. Getting really anxious about mine. I hope my documents were sufficient enough for his Visa to come thorough...

A question for the ridler since ur wife's visa has just been granted how much money do u have to have in your account and whether renting a property for a year and a half will affect the decision... :? ....I do live alone and theirs enough place for both of us.

If anyone else can answer as well i'd be very grateful....this wait is just killing me hope Allah g gives me and all the married people out their waiting Sabar...ameen

They usually contact the manager at work, that's who they asked for when they contacted my work place. Do you know how long it takes to get a reply after emplyer contact?

Hmm from what ive seen on here its usualy the next day or within a few days, it would be so much easyer if they just called the head office department as i know for a fact that our only phone at work is in use almost all day with customers calling...im worried they wont be able to get through and refuse it?

I have just visited the ukvisas.gov.uk website and am absoloutely astonished at the figures they have published.

It states for the month of October the settlement decisions were granted in 30 days for the following percentages of applicants who applied at the VACs below.

Islamabad Applicants 94%
Karachi Applicants 98%
Lahore Applicants 100%
Mirpur Applicants- 97%

As we have been keeping a spreadsheet of applicants, in reality this is clearly not the case. There lies, theres damn lies, and then theres statisitics!
