ynn132 got extension visa which is 3 weeks short, I think it was a HO's error, but nothing you can do, cus they say they can give up to 4 years visa. I sent my hsmp extension application today, which is more than 2 months before my current visa expires, I called to FLR HO, they said I can apply eariler. However, some are told that we cannot apply 2 months early, cus different people gives different answer. will update my application if I get it back.

AdiPsych,

It says that at the end of my stay, we should apply on form of FLR(IED). We should be able to apply ILR at that time, but the immigration policy is changing all time, who knows what will be in 4 years time.

Hi All,

I will apply for my extension early next month as its expiring on 2nd week of July. While reading the application form, I got confused with the note about the photographs. The note on the application form says :

HSMP, TWES and WP applicants only. Two recent passport-sized photographs of each dependant applying for an extension of stay in the UK with you with each dependant’s name written on the back of the photograph.

Do I have to submit 'passport size photos of each dependant with me' or their 'individual passport size photos'.

Please advise.

Hi all,

I sent my application for extension on 10 May, received by HO on 11 May, payment received from my credit card on 12 May, acknowledgement received on 16 May 2006.

My organization planned to send me to outside UK destinations in EU for inspections from 29 May.

I have two questions:

1. Any Idea of how many days HO is likely to take. (As I need to have my passport ready for Europian visas by 22 May).

2. My role requires my overseas travels. May I know if there are any restrictions on number of weeks/months one can stay out of UK.

Looking forward to have valuable inputs.

Best regards
OneTen

Thanks

Got extension approved for 4 years. :D :D :D
here's the timeline:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
HSMP expires - 1x June, 2006

Application sent: 2 May, 2006
Delivered to HO: 3 May, 2006
CC charged : 4 May, 2006

Payment confirmation letter: 8 May, 2006

Passport received: 17 May, 2006

Extension given: 4 years (until 1x June, 2010)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also has a nice letter along with which is self-explanatory.

Basically the letter says:

Dear Mr <My Name>,

We are pleased to inform you that your application for FLR has been approved. We are returning your documents and passport with endorsment. .....extension under the hsmp programme is normally granted for period for 3 years but due to recent changes made to the immigration policy, the Home Secretary has used discretion and approved extension for 4 years. If at the end of 4 years date, if further extension is required, please use form FLR.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so, since I came to UK in Nov and hence will be 4-5 months short of the reqd 5 year stay, I will have to apply for FLR again and then ILR. Not a problem, if they keep the efficiency levels as it is at the moment.

Didn't the other guys who got approval get a similar letter?

Cheers :D

If you stay outside for 3 months all time before that is NOT counted towards an ILR application, ie your 'clock' is re-set to zero.

Hi

No extensions approved since 19th May, whats going on at HO, what can be the reason of such delay?

I have applied for 2 weeks now...but heard back nothing, should I call them to check or wait 2 more weeks?

Extension Stamp

Post by ana10027 » Sat Jun 10, 2006 12:00 pm

I am preparing my docs for HSMP extension.

Becasue my original passport is about to expire, I've got a new one already. Thus I am wondering if I will have to leave the country to get my clearance again, or if the samp will allow me to travel in and out of the country without a need for further clearance.

I will be sumitting:

a cover letter
FLR application
2 passport size pictures
my old passport with HSMP visa
my new current passport
Police registration certificate
bank statements since nov 05
wage slips
P60
employment contract, and
letter from the employer

thanks a million
