invoice required for individual contractor?

Post by destinyrules13 » Tue Dec 07, 2010 4:03 am

Hi Experts,

Th policy guidelines say:

Contractors:
If the applicant is a contractor who does not operate either through his/her own company or as an employee, he/she may provide:
an accountant’s letter confirming a • breakdown of his/her gross and net earnings for the period claimed; and
personal bank statements clearly • highlighting all credit payments made to his/her account from employment undertaken during the earnings period claimed.

But there is also a clause mentioned in guidelines at some other place that:

Where an applicant is submitting a combination of bank statements and a letter/invoice summary from their accountant, they must also provide any invoices generated during the period for which earnings are being claimed.

So i am confused that, if i am an individual contractor, do i need to submit the invoices also along with bank statements and accountant's letter?

Please help.

Thanks

invoices are not mandatory

but the account statement usually gives the information about when the payments were made into the business account and the amount. this would tally with the account statement

Why not just submit the invoices as told by the policy guidance?

As a contractor, you are the one who should be invoicing clients for payment(s) against work done by you.

Or am I missing something here?

hi sushdmehta:

i work as individual contractor so i dont generate such invoice to the client.. i get paid by terms and conditions in my contract. but if its required to submit the invoice, then i can generate one.

is it ok if i generate invoice on a plain paper? i dont have a letter-header as i dont have any company of myself as such..

can u suggest some format of the invoice? it will be very helpful...

thanks in advance..

if you r paid by client than no need to give invoice

provide for each client , name , address, contact no ,date payment received and amount recived to HO

HO will stap yr visa if they have query they will write to yr client to confrm the payments and work done
