How many days to leave the country?

I applied for tier 1 on the day my visa expired 30/10/2010.

I got refused on 1 dec 2010 because the payment didnt go through.

I receive my passport back on 8 dec 2010.

Is there a time limit for leaving the country. I do want to go asap but it's christmas the ticket is damn expensive and i havent packed anything yet.

I have stayed in england for 7 years.

I concern about if i apply visa again in the future, would it be a problem for me in how many days i have over stayed?

If you do not appeal, if given the right, you should leave within 28 days. Staying beyond that time may affect an future EC applications.

Of course i itended to leave within 28 days. I got a reason price ticket on 23/24. What i concern is if next time i apply they would ask why didnt i leave right away when i receive the passport.

And one more thing, on 28/11/2010, I called to ask my passport back for family urgent, I said I need it before 6/12/2010, they did note that. on 7/12, I called home office to ask about my passport, they said they cant tell me where my passport is within 15 days. On 8/12/2010, I got my passport back with the refusal on 1/12/2010 (they refuse after i ask my passport back?)

Just want to know if i leave on 12,18 or 24. Would it make any different?

HO is not concerned or have any problem as long as you leave within the 28days period.. so u leave on 2nd day or 22nd day does not matter.. u leave within teh rules.. that matters.
